Engine 5 is housed at Central Station and manned by off-duty personnel who return to the station for Box Alarms and Station Coverage. The engine is also run as the front-line vehicle at Central Station when Engine 1 is down for service. This vehicle is a 1995 Central States with a 1000 gallon tank and a 1500 gpm pump.
