Ambulance 13
(R-21)

The R-21 vehicle is usually designated "A-13" and run out of North Station. It is actually built using pieces of two separate ambulances after they were each damaged in separate incidents.

The designation of each vehicle remains constant ("R-21") but the vehicle itself may have its response assignment changed in order to rotate vehicles in assure the most appropriate use. For example, this vehicle was recently reassigned from the "A-15" position at Central Station to the "A-13" position at North Station. "A-13" is generally a little quieter than "A-15" and therefore more appropriate for this aging vehicle.
