Rescue 1

"51-Rescue-1" is a 2006 E-One heavy rescue housed at Central Station. This truck is not manned during the day but can be taken by the on-duty crew if it is needed for a complex extrication or rescue. The rescue is also taken to structure fires by off-duty personel who respond to Central Station.

In addition to equipment for complex vehicle extrication, the rescue truck is also equipped to handle ice rescue, confined space rescue, high angle rescue, and building or trench collapse. At structure fires the rescue can provide lighting and electricity, additional breathing air bottles, as well as drinking water for the crews.
